I babysat little Elijah on Monday. He's so sweet.

Haylee was not happy.
She thought he was trying to take her Mommy away.

On the move

Haylee figured this walking thing out on Monday! She now chooses to walk places on her own and usually reaches her destination without falling (unlike in this video where she falls just before she reaches me, but you get the idea...=)! I am just surprised it didn't take her until she was 16 months old like a certain older sister we know...

The other day Rylee drew some pictures. She did this completely on her own.

Her first drawing was of Daddy...

Lately...

Rylee likes to talk out of the side of her mouth. You know, one eye squinted, lips slanted upward on one side, and only that side of her mouth opens as she speaks. She usually does this as she is telling me something important. Like, "Mommy, the Witch isn't scary. The Witch is in Disneyland with Mickey and Minnie. In the BIG tower." I love it.

Haylee has a new name. Snot-Nose McGee. She has a bad cold. I have officially become her human tissue. Thats what I am good for these day, cuddling with her night and day as she wipes her nose all over my shirt. Nice.

Scott is a great dad and husband. We are both very tired since Snot-Nose McGee keeps us up all night. Scott helps me out at night and stays up with Snot-Nose McGee too so I can get a little bit of sleep. He offered it the very first night she was sick and said that he would stay up with her because thats what he does. And he does. It's awesome and I am thankful.

This morning Rylee says to me, "Look at Haylee!" I look over and Haylee is standing all by herself in the middle of the room! Can you believe it?! She will be walking in no time!

Fun to be One

Haylee turned 1 on Sunday!

We had family over for her 1st birthday party.

She was spoiled with presents. Thanks everyone!

Here is Haylee over the first year of her life.

And here she is today, the happiest baby I have ever met. She brings us so much joy.

I took her in for her 1 year well check appt and she weighed in at 18 lbs 2 oz and is 28 inches tall. She is still in the 10-25 percentile! The Doctor said she is just petite! (Figures she's petite now. Why couldn't she have been petite when I gave birth to her?! Lil' stinker was 9lbs at birth!)

I just thought I'd share a picture from each of Rylee's Birthdays. My how she has changed, I don't even remember her being so small!! Oh, they grow up waaaaay way too fast.

We had a birthday dinner for Rylee after we got back from Disneyland so the Grammies could celebrate her birthday too.
I made her a Minnie Mouse cake, and yes I am proud of it! If you saw this post of the cake I made for Scott last year, you will see how far my cake decorating skills have come!She made me take a picture of her with each present after she opened it...
