June

One evening in June, Haylee came up to me and as she was talking to me I was thinking "what is different about her, something is different!". Then it hit me, she cut her own hair! The most damage was up front so I tried to cut the shortest part into a side swept bang. Our first experience with a child cutting her hair...it was such a Haylee thing to do.
Scott was out of town often this past month, and during one of those times I took the kids back to the farm to pick more peaches and pick some fresh veggies too. Such a good time!
We finally made it back up to the cabin, we hadn't been since January. It was so nice to escape the heat and getaway for free. Just had to bring groceries!
The kids spent a lot of time painting on the front porch. It's where we spend the majority of our time.
Scott spends his time in the hammock. Sleeping buddies...
We all went to the lake on a mission to catch crawdads. We were not successful the first day but still had a great time at the lake.
Cruiser was in absolute heaven. He lives for water.

The cabin family!
Scott and I took the kids to a different lake the next day and we caught 2 crawdads. Rylee caught a tiny fish, she was so determined and she succeeded at the last attempt. Too bad the crawdads ate the fish on the way home... We also stopped at the rim to enjoy the view.

That evening we cooked up those crawdads and had ourselves a fine feast.
When we got back from the cabin, we celebrated father's day. I made my first from scratch cheesecake for him.
A few months ago we took all the kids to the dentist and I figured I would have Zach get checked out for the first time just to get him used to it. He was my best brusher so I was totally not expecting the dentist to tell us he had cavities and would need to be put under to have them filled. We debated for a long time if it was necessary since his baby teeth would fall out anyway but we decided since he was so young, it was best to correct it now. So he was our first baby to need anesthesia. He did so good and was so cute when he got home.
Here he is trying to show me his teeth.
This is how we spent a lot of our summer days, good cheap backyard fun!
And this is how we spent many summer evenings, fort movie nights!
My Dad and husband share the same birthday, and this year was my Dad's big 6-0! (Scott is turning the big 3-0!) We drove up to Payson to celebrate my Dad's birthday. We had our own private dinner room at the restaurant which was so nice to just hang out.
And finally, one Sunday morning, Scott felt lead to be baptized again! The Sunday started off crazy. I had gone to church before Scott and I accidentally had his only truck key in my purse. A friend offered to run the key out to him since I was busy serving in the nursery and couldn't get it to him in time. He was late but made it. And thank God he did, God had plans for him that morning! It was baptism Sunday, and although people had already signed up to be baptized it was offered that if you felt led to do so, to stand on the count of 3 and go for it! Scott handed me his phone and wallet and it instantly brought tears to my eyes. He had been talking about possibly doing it again. He was baptized when he was younger but now, he has a relationship with God and his walk with the Lord took on a new meaning. Rylee even got to watch, it was such a great morning. I am so proud of my husband and so thankful to be his wife.
