Christmas

We celebrated Christmas Eve at our house this year. Most of my family joined us and our entertainment for the evening....Guitar Hero! It was fun!
Grammie and Haylee
The girls had so much fun playing together!
I asked Rylee if she wanted to leave a cookie for Santa and she said yes and knew exactly which one she wanted to give him. She got the snowman sugar cookie she had decorated, placed it on a paper plate, and sat it on the floor under our stockings. Cruiser was thrilled by her placement of choice.

~Christmas Morning~
We got up early to open presents and it was wonderful. It was so fun watching the girls open their gifts. This is Rylee "smiling" with her new Tigger bath toy Daddy got her.

Cruiser and his Christmas bone. Santa brings him one every year.

Haylee and her new music set Mommy picked out for her.
The girls in their matching PJ's.
We then went over to my Grandpa's house

And she's done.
Rylee and her cousin Victoria. They are so cute together.
Classic "bow on head" shot.
Enjoying Christmas dinner.
We hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas!!

CVS

I have talked to a bunch of you about the great deals I find at CVS. I walk out of the store every week with a bunch of stuff, paying little out of pocket for it and earning CVS bucks for next time. I wanted to share pictures from my best shopping trip yet so you guys can really see how much bang I get for my buck!

This is everything I came home with yesterday! My grand total was $7.43 out of pocket!
  • 3 Arm & Hammer Essentials Cleaners (2.99 ea)
  • 5 Listerines (2.99 ea)
  • 2 Sally Hansen Nail Polishes (5.99 ea)
  • 2 L'Oreal Eyeshadows (6.99 ea)
  • 1 Zantac (4.99)
  • 1 Excedrin (3.99)
  • 1 Right Guard Professional Strength Deodorant (6.00)
  • 1 Benefiber (7.29)
  • 1 AdvantEdge Bar (1.69)
I did two different transactions. The picture below was my first. My total was $35.93 orginally but after coupons and CVS bucks from the week before, I brought my total down to $7.43. I earned 35.93 in CVS bucks.
Using the bucks earned in the previous transaction, I bought everything pictured below!! The total was originally $37.91 and with coupons and my CVS bucks my total was $0. Yup! Nada, zip, ZERO! And I earned 37.91 in more CVS bucks for next time.
It takes a little bit of homework but so worth it and its so fun! Let me know if you're interested in how I do it because I will be glad to share my tips!!

10 Months Old

This little one is now 10 Months old!! In just 2 months she will be 1. I have no clue how this happened, wasn't I just pregnant with her?? I weighed her and she is still 17lbs which now drops her into the 10 percentile! I don't know how she is so tiny, she started out HUGE! But she looks plump and is always eating so who knows whats up with that...
My Mom's birthday was Sunday so she joined us at the mall so the girls could see Santa. I have a picture of the girls with him but I have no clue where it is! So all I can post for now is this one of Rylee in her pretty dress patiently waiting to see him. They both did really well, Rylee wasn't scared at all. Thank goodness...
That evening we had dinner with my family and we took pictures of the girls by the tree.
Rylee had no clue Haylee was about to hit her in the head with this red ornament...
So sweet and innocent, right?

O Christmas Tree

We got a live tree this year...it smells sooo good!
Scott was trying to adjust the tree stand when the girls decided it was the perfect opportunity to attack Daddy. So funny...I am sure Scott was a tad annoyed...but they looked so sweet cuddled up with him. What Daddys' girls!

The finished product! I love Christmas time!

A Thanksgiving Getaway

We went to Colorado for Thanksgiving to visit Scott's family. It was a nice getaway that went by way too fast!

Here's Haylee looking adorable on the loooong ride up there.
The Horsies
Don't tell Papa.....
So cute!
We decided to drive to Colorado Springs for a day and venture up to the top of Pike's Peak. It was amazing! We are not afraid of heights normally, but the drive up the mountain was scary! The roads have no gaurd rails and there is about a foot of dirt on the side of the very skinny road and then a huge drop off. It was freaky! Its about a 45 minute drive to the top, the first half is a super easy drive but the second half is constant scary switchbacks all the way to the top. But we made it!
At the top there is an amazing view and a gift shop. We checked out the shop first and about 2 minutes into our shopping we all started feeling the onset of altitude sickness. We looked around and started noticing everyone in there seemed very unsteady and growing sicker. I didn't think it would affect us but it sure did! So we got out of there, checked out the view, snapped some pictures and left! We were up there maybe 20 mins before we decided it was too cold and too hard to breath! The view was amazing though, it was like being outside of an airplane. Worth the drive up! The crazy roads going back down. The drive down was not bad at all because we were on the inside of the road instead of hugging the edge!
The peak we just came from
My two snuggle bugs Thanksgiving Day
Haylee's first Thanksgiving! My favorite Thanksgiving food, a smoked turkey leg.
Yes, its that good!
The kiddos running around
Rylee in action! She was so cute running around outside!
The day we left we woke up to this!! Figures it snowed the day we had to leave! We decided to leave later in the morning so we could enjoy the snow.
This was Haylee's first time in the snow! She looked so funny bundled up in Rylee's old snowsuit! It was just a tad big!
Grammie and the Girls
Talk about last minute snow suits!
