Haylee's 5th Birthday!

Our baby girl is 5! I can't believe she will be starting kindergarten soon! She is doing so well in preschool! It's helped her to really blossom. She is still shy but has gotten much better about it and opens up quicker. She has become much more talkative and her speech has become more clear. She also is getting really good at writing her name and has recently started writing other names too. She draws such cute pictures of people. She is still our mischief child always sneaking into things! She loves candy and gum and will sneak it whenever she gets a chance. She is the biggest cuddle bug I have ever met (must get it from her Dad). She is such a daddy's girl. She is so brave and jumps into just about anything. She loves babies and acts like a little mom. She loves to wrestle, dance, sing, and dress up. She can be very sensitive at times though even when we think she is funny she doesn't like if we laugh or smile at her! She's adorable and we love her!
All ready for school on her birthday!
After school, Zach and I met Scott and her at the park for a picnic lunch.
I didn't get a picture of it, but Scott tried to do an epic back flip off the swing. OH MY was it funny. I don't think he took into account that he is a bigger grown man now...But alas, I only have a picture of this cutie pie swinging. Although if you look closely, you may see the war wounds on Scott's face.
Haylee requested mashed potatoes (her favorite) for dinner.
Her cake!
We got her a camera for her birthday, she was so thrilled!
After cake and presents, she crashed on the couch. Poor girl started running a fever again!

Valentine's Day

The week of Valentine's was not great...We all took our turn with catching the actual flu. (fever, body aches, chills, the works) Zach and I didn't get sick until later that week and Haylee and Scott were on the mend on Valentine's Day (Rylee was at school) so we went out to lunch. I loved this sweet moment between brother and sister (he was trying to kiss her).
Scott brought each of his girls a rose.
Rylee with her flower Scott surprised her with after school and her loot of Valentine's from her class.
I made a nice dinner but Rylee's fever came back and Haylee and Scott just didn't feel that well that evening so it was pretty lame. And that was that!

The Nave Cousins' Birthday Party

Rylee, Haylee, and Elijah all have February birthdays so we had one giant party in the park for them! This is the only picture I got of the 3 of them together and my camera was on a weird setting so it did not come out good at all! Too bad because it would have been a cute picture!
The Cake
We rented a bounce house and good thing because it was windy and freezing that day so the bounce house was the only place to warm up!
Zach did not like the bounce house, he refused to get back in it!
The kids playing soccer.
All the kids got a turn with the pinata.

The best part was watching all the kids go crazy when the candy fell out! It was a storm of screaming happy kids.

Singing to the Birthday kids!
Time for cake
Opening Presents
Despite the fact it was cold, it was a great party! Thanks to all who came!!

Rylee's 7th Birthday

Our first born is 7. SEVEN!! She is a beautiful, smart, social little girl. She is a great helper, and likes to be organized. She'll actually set up her own chore chart or come up with different activities. She definitely is a stereotypical oldest child, bossy and all!  She loves to color and write and currently loves to put together books. Especially family favorites books. She is such a goofball too and cracks us up. She loves to sing and dance and play dress up. She has a bunch of friends and its fun getting to the age where she calls her friends just to chat and goes over to their houses to play. She's growing up and we love her to pieces.
On her birthday with her new bible ready for church.
She requested to go to Famous Dave's for lunch because they have the awesome birthday candles!
Her birthday was on Super Bowl Sunday again so she wanted a butterfly football cake!
She is doing so well in school and received the Principal's Honor Award for straight A's and perfect attendance. This super picture is at the ceremony where she is to the left of the red shirt kid on stage. =)
