Our Garden

We planted a garden a few weeks ago. I have been wanting to do it for awhile now because I knew the girls would love it! I don't have a green thumb (I can barely keep my house plants alive), so I was hoping that the girls would remind me to water it and take care of it. They have done a great job so far and with the addition of the drip line Scott added, this may just work out!
The girls painted signs for each plant.
We planted cilantro, basil, jalepenos, carrots, sweet onions, watermelon, and pumpkins.
The before picture.
A week later there was the first sign of life!
Haylee's pumpkin.
And 2 weeks later, everything is growing!! Yay!

Dance Recital

The girls had their dance recital after their 6 week dance class! Rylee did amazing! She is very serious about it and tries to follow the teacher exactly. Haylee loved it but then at last weeks class she didn't want anything to do with it. When I tried to drop her off she screamed and cried. I finally got her inside the class but she stood by the door most of the time just sucking her fingers and watching the kids. This week I figured she would do the same thing but she walked right in and started practicing. When they let all of the parents in for the recital she immediatly decided she didn't want to do it. When the music started she made it to her spot but she just stood their determined not to participate. Oh well. I was sad to not see her dance!

Grammie came to watch

Daddy and Zach too!

They did 4 different dances. Here are the videos of each one.

In this one, about the middle, you can see Haylee get into it with her head for a brief moment! =)

Easter

We had a great Easter this year! We had a fun busy day! We started the day at about 5:30 am to fit everything in before I had to be at church by 8.

It was Zach's first Easter and he got a basket too! "Really, Mom, Peeps for a 7 month old?"

My 3! After church we went to Grammie and Papa's where we had lunch and an Easter egg hunt. We then went to my Mom's for dinner and yet another egg hunt! Rylee found one of the golden eggs and scored herself a dollar!
At dinner, someone(s) decided to give Zach "dips" of cool whip while I wasn't looking. And yes, he loved it!

7 Months

I took Zach in for his wellcheck yesterday, and he is 28 1/2 inches tall and 17lbs 11oz. That puts him in the 90% for height and 25% for weight! I really thought he's been chunking up?! Oh well, he's happy and healthy! He is a COMEPLETLY different baby! Not only has his mood changed but he is ready to be on the move! We put him in his walker and he walks around everywhere. He manuevers around corners and follows us wherever we go! It's crazy to us! The doctor asked me if he's pushing up and lifting his chest up during tummy time and I told her, "Actually he pushes up on his hands and knees and looks like he's going to take off crawling." She was very surprised because he's still young for that! He kind of skipped the whole scooting phase and went straight to this!? He can sit up but he's not super steady yet.

Showing off his 2 new teeth.
His new skill Playing outside.I had to throw these in too...

March

I finally decided to sit down and update my blog! Wahoo! Now that I have an iPhone I rarely get on the computer anymore so I have forgotten about it! Oh ya and the fact that I have 3 kids keeping me busy all day, every day, there just isn't much time!

After the girl's birthdays I took their yearly portraits! I have one from every year and I plan to keep this up until hmm, they are 18!? =)

Rylee

Haylee

After their birthday party we had these giant "5" and "3" balloons floating around our house. We finally got tired of them and decided to release them into the sky!

You can see the two little specks high in the sky. Every once in a while we would catch a glimpse of a 5 or 3 in the clouds, it was cool. We watched them float for a long time until we lost them. One weekend we were just hanging out and I noticed I hadn't seen Haylee in a bit. I called for her and she had dissapeared silently (never good!) into my bathroom. Where she found my mascara. And applied it herself....

We went to the Renassaince Festival a few weeks ago! We hadn't been in about 5 years, since we had kids, so it was their first time going.

The main reason I go: the giant turkey leg. LOVE. Zach was such a good boy! My princesses. We searched all day for this type of hat (I told them they could pick out one thing that day and Rylee described this hat that she wanted). We finally found one on the way out. Rylee picked hers out instantly. Haylee could not make up her mind. Twenty mintues later we walked out with these. They put them on for the picture and that was that. Took them right off. Oye. I signed the girls up for a dance class! They have gone twice now and they love it! Rylee especially. She follows directions well and takes it seriously. Although, the majority of the time there (1 hour) is spent in the restroom! All us moms take our kids before class yet they all have to go during too. Once one needs to go, they all do. But when they are dancing, they are adorable! They have a performance at the end of the class so I will have more pictures then!

My 3 kiddos!
Last Saturday, Rylee went to her school for kindergarten testing! As far as we know she did great! We are so proud! =) We will hear in 2 weeks if she is definitely accepted and what class she will be in! She will start school August 10th! I CAN'T BELIEVE IT! In about 4 months my BABY will be in school. Yikes! I am excited and sad all at the same time! She's ready though!
