We just got back from a week in San Diego, and we are so thankful we were able to get away this year! We are so bummed to be back already though! San Diego was gorgeous (70 degrees was the high) and it made it so hard to come back to 110 temps! I could spend everyday at the beach just relaxing!

The first thing we did when we got there (besides eating at Lucha Libre Taco Shop, that we saw on the show Man vs. Food) was head straight to the beach! It was a little chilly and the water was definitely cold but you got used to it! The girls didn't enjoy the water...Rylee said the "hills" (aka waves) kept coming in and getting her. They loved the beach though!

Every night on the way back to the hotel the girls passed out in the car. We thoroughly exhausted them each day.
The next day we went to Sea World!Haylee and the walrus.

The girls did not like getting soaked. After the first splash, Haylee started crying and scrambled into my lap and was desperatly trying to hide behind me. Luckily the guy behind us offered us his poncho and Haylee buried herself in it. I had to keep an airhole propped open for her and she eventually fell asleep!
Scott, Tony, and Rylee were were the only ones who could ride the rides, us pregnant chics and babies couldn't, so we stayed behind while they had the fun. Haylee and Elijah just held hands while we waited. So precious!

At one point, I was dangling a fish out for a seal, thinking it was funny that it made him bark at me. Then a seagull flew over and snatched it right out of my hand!

Afterwards, we went to Belmont Park and rode the carousel. (I was allowed on this ride, yay! lol) 
Then we walked around the boardwalk, got shome hawaiian shaved ice, and hung out on the beach.

That evening we went to Phil's BBQ (also on Man vs Food). It was delish!

For lunch we broke our rule of only eating at places that are local to San Diego. We were tired and hungry and Joe's Crab Shack was right there. It turned out to be our favorite meal. It was right on the beach, we had a great table outdoors with a perfect view, and we split a crab steampot that was great!
Afterwards we went to Sea Port Village.
