Christmas Rocks Extravaganza!

My Dad came into town and took us to the Brian Setzer Christmas Rocks Extravaganza. It was a lot of fun!

Grammie's Birthday

On my Mom's actual birth day, we took the girls to the mall to have their picture taken and have lunch.
We ate at the Cheesecake Factory and they sat us in the perfect booth surrounded by mirrors. It kept the girls entertained and confined.
Lovin' on Grammie
Happy Birthday, Mom!

The Nutcracker

My Mom has been taking me to see The Nutcracker Ballet ever since I was little. I was about Rylee's age when I went for the first time so now it is time to continue the tradition with her! We went for my Mom's birthday along with her sister, my Aunt Denise.
Rylee was so excited to put on her Christmas dress and see the "dallerinas". At Symphony Hall looking up at ourselves through the giant looking glass.

During intermission, I took Rylee to the back of the theatre where there was another little girl dancing. Rylee joined right in and they danced around together. It was very cute! The whole second half of the show, Rylee danced in the aisles and in the back. She loved it.

Santa

Our community had a Christmas party in the park and we took the girls there to play and see Santa. First up, the giant blow up slide. We tried to let Haylee go down with Rylee but she had a hard time getting up the stairs and she created a backup of kids. They were not pleased. So we pulled her off and just let Rylee go up and down over and over.
Then we put them both in the bouncy house. Rylee loved it (pink) but Haylee never made it past the entrance (purple). Everytime she would try to stand up she would get knocked right back down. Once again, she was pulled out.
Then we enjoyed all of the free food. Here's Haylee enjoying Cheetos.
The band started playing "Here Comes Santa Claus" and he drove up in a golf cart. Rylee couldn't contain her excitement and ran right up to him. Haylee on the other hand was excited until we put her on his lap. Then she freaked! Santa asked Rylee what she wanted for Christmas..."Toys" she said.

Decorating The Tree

Adding the final touch, the star on top.
After the tree was done, I thought it would be nice to take a picture of the girls cute and happy in front of it. How hard could that be, right?

A bazillion pictures and two frustrated parents later, this is the best we got.

A Collection of Pictures that Make Me Laugh

Rylee discovered this "cheese" face on her own.
This was the entertainment before breakfast this morning.
Hanging out with Eli. They LOVE him and were so excited to take a picture...well everyone but Eli, he doesn't look as enthused.
I got out the Christmas decorations and Rylee found the stockings. She said to me, "Mom, these are BIG BIG socks!" Then put them on. I still don't think she understands what they are meant for...

Roasting Marshmellows

Letting the girls roast their own marshmellows...
Haylee's never got close enough to the fire to toast it but she sure was happy thinking she was.
