Up Up and Away

We took the girls to see the movie Up (in 3D) over the weekend...It was only Rylee's second time to the movies and Haylee's first. Rylee loved it and Haylee loved the popcorn. Haylee lasted about 2/3 of the movie when the tub (yes TUB) of popcorn was gone and she had enough of sitting still. She finished the movie sleeping in Daddy's arms in the back of the theater!
It was actually really fun!
Here we are sporting our awesome 3D shades.

I love having little girls

I was vacuuming and out of nowhere both girls showed up with their cornpoppers and started "vacuuming" right along side me. Oh so cute.
The girls have matching Hello Kitty backpacks and they both love wearing them. Rylee has had hers on all week. It only comes off when she sleeps.
Rylee loves looking through our photo albums and talks about every picture she sees. Here she is cracking up at a picture of herself. (Notice the backpack still on.)
Rylee also had a pedicure. This was her second time getting her toes painted and the first time it was done by Mommy.
And this was her first pedicure done by herself:
It was a bad Mommy moment...This was one year ago and I was busy with newborn Haylee and Rylee wondered off and painted her own toes. OH WAS IT A MESS.
If I ever try to sit down at the computer while the girls are up this is immediatly where Haylee goes. Its her spot under the computer desk. Needless to say I don't get anything accomplished.
That grin though, it melts me!

And here is a video of Rylee singing her ABC's!

Peach Pickin'

I love this time of year because we can go pick my favorite fruit at a local farm. These peaches are sooo good. Rylee actually remembered doing this last year which was surprising to me so she was really excited to go do it again.
Haylee "picked" these 2 peaches and carried them around the entire time. It took them awhile to realize they could eat them.
And once they discovered they could....oh were they a mess.
We only went to the farm for one thing and one thing only, the peaches. It was during the peach festival so it was very crowded and HOT. But we actually had an eventful time. On the hayride back from the orchards a lady passed out (from the heat, it was 100+ degrees that day) and Scott jumped to her rescue! If you want more details, ask him, he loves telling the story.

Mother's Day

Mother's Day was good! My day started with breakfast in bed (sweeeet!) and we went to my Mom's to visit and had lunch at Scott's Mom's.
My Mom, the girls, and I
Scott had the girls paint a coffee mug for me. I love it and will cherish it forever. And to my surprise, he also got me an awesome, much needed, new phone. Thanks guys for a great day!

It says Best Mom 2009 on it (Scott's touch)

On a different note, Rylee LOVES helping me in the kitchen. She stands on her step stool to help out and the other day Haylee decided to hop on too.

Wow

I have been telling Rylee all day how pretty she looks. Something about the way her hair is pulled back and her new shirt.
I know I am her Mom and all, but seriously...
she's G-O-R-G-E-O-U-S.

Lions and Tigers and Bears, Oh My!

We went to the zoo over the weekend. It was a beautiful day and we had a good time. Rylee really enjoyed it this time...she wanted to ride every animal we saw.
This ended up being the only animal she rode, it was fake but she still liked it.
Below was Scott's favorite part of the day, maybe even his life. A squirrel came right up to us and Scott fed it.
Wow.

The lions.

Haylee really liked them! She was all giddy and would do her demanding point and grunt at them. Loved the cuteness.
Us girls and the Rhino
All of us and the Rhino's butt.

Rylee finally getting to see the elephant, she waited all day for this moment.
Doesn't she look thrilled?

Easter

We had a wonderful Easter! We were stressing about it before hand because we had so much to do in one day, but it turned out great!
Saturday we colored eggs.

Sunday morning Rylee woke me up bright and early by hitting me in the head with a sippy cup (it was one of the gifts in her Easter basket) showing me what she got.

An early morning Easter egg hunt at our house. Haylee was pretty good at it, I was so glad she could walk this Easter so she could participate!
The BIG peep egg she found.
Our family before Church.
After Church, we went to Scott's Mom's house for brunch and then to my Mom's for dinner. Both meals were great and both Grammies made it really special for the girls!

Another Egg hunt!
