*The Fourth*

Sunday, July 3rd, was Scott's birthday. The girls made him this totally awesome crown so he could be the birthday king. And I posted it, oh ya.
He's 28 now! And for 9 days I get to be 2 years younger than him, ha ha. The next day we celebrated 4th of July. Zach's first Independence Day! Yay! I tried to get a picture of my 3 darling children but Haylee just woke up from her nap so she was upset.
Goodness, that face. Cracks me up. "Don't touch me"
Her crying led to Zach crying.
Still cute though LOVE!
Scott said "Ok, kids, climb on my back and we'll take a picture, that will make you all happy!"
"No? Ok lets all scream then."
Daddy hugs make it better.
We went to my Mom's to watch the fireworks (we can see the city's show from her house). We let the kids try sparklers while we waited and I tried out the night settings on my camera! So cool!

And the best for last...
2011 The firework show was cancelled due to a storm that rolled in. Luckily the kids weren't upset at all! There were plenty of people setting off fireworks from their homes for them to see, which was good enough for them! They were ready to go home before the show would have started anyways!

One evening...

...after baths, when everyone was ready for bed, Rylee was helping Zach walk around. It was sweet so I took some pictures...

Then they sat down and were playing together. He loves her. That led to the kids wanting me to take pictures of them in every pose they could think of and then running over to see how funny each picture was on my camera.

Which then led to silly faces and lots of giggles.

I told Haylee this would be the last picture so make your silliest face...

The kids and I were laughing so hard that night, what silly fun.

One more thing, our garden is looking great! We picked some cilantro (our first harvest) and used it with dinner. It was the best cilantro ever. ; )

Swim Lessons

We put the girls in swim lessons and they just finished their last class! They did great and loved it! It was fun watching them, the teachers were great, and they both have improved a lot!

Haylee's class was in the kiddie pool most of the time but the last day they got to go in the big pool!
Sorry the pictures are bad, they were taken on my phone!Rylee Scott and I took turns taking them and we would watch from the shaded bleachers. (We were thankful there was at least shade, it was HOT!) Rylee loved popping up and waving at us.

9 Months

Zach has now been here longer than I was pregnant with him! He went for his well-check and he weighs 19 lbs 6 oz (25%), is 29 inches long (75%), and his head is in the 97%!! He started crawling 2 weeks ago but since that one evening of good crawling, he is still choosing to scoot! He'll take a few crawls and then go down to his tummy and scoots. He does pull up to standing now though! And starts to cruise but falls over! He claps his hands, says DaDa, waves, and is now moving on from purees to finger foods! He is just precious, I love this age! I was trying to get him to show off his skills but he cried (screamed) in each position.

He got over it though!

Haylee loves him! Sometimes she is a little intense about her cuddling but this was one of the sweet moments. He has also moved on from his infant carrier so he can sit in the cart... ...and in a highchair at resturaunts.

He loves being in a high chair! He just feels like the luckiest kid.
And he takes baths in the tub now which he loves also! This kid loves water!

Father's Day Weekend

We took the kids over to Papa and Grammie's house to swim in their "pool". Zach LOVED it. He instantly relaxes in water. He loved floating on his back. He kicked his legs so hard and the grin on his face was priceless.
For Father's day, one of the presents for Scott was to let the girls each have a dollar and then take them to the dollar store to let them pick out whatever they wanted for their Dad. After walking up and down each aisle, they both ended up picking out a ball. They were so cute hiding it from him and trying to keep it a secret. We made him breakfast that morning and went to Pappadeux for lunch! I think he had a great day! We love you!

Splashin' Around

Last week we went on a play date to a splash pad. Rylee loved it (you can see her below in the middle of the splash pad "swimming"), Haylee took some nudging to go play and barely got wet, and Zach loved the little bit of water he was splashed with.
Since Zach seemed to enjoy the splash park we took him outback to play in the sprinklers with his sisters! He loved it!
